If you like the outdoors, including canoeing the James River, hiking the Blue Ridge Mountains, cycling the C&O Canal, or just a weekend of camping at Merchants Millpond, then Troop 16 is where you want to be.
We have attended Philmont Scout Ranch, The Boy Scouts of America's premier High Adventure base 3 times in the last 8 years.(2015, 2021 and 2022)
Troop 16 of Suffolk, VA, meeting in the Village of Driver, was originally chartered with the Boy Scouts of America on December 11, 1939. Since that time, we have held a continuous charter!
We are back to meeting in person.
Our regular meeting nights are Monday evenings from 6:30-8:15. Meetings wrap up at roughly 7:30 for the regular Troop Meeting and through 8:00, or 8:15 latest for merit badge training. We welcome boys aged 11-17 to come check us out! We are a very active Troop with LOTS going on. We meet at Beech Grove Methodist Church, 4251 Driver Lane, Suffolk, VA 23435.
